| ISTA was founded in 1948. The headquarters is in the U.S. In the early years of its establishment, it was called NTSC. After many years’ development, it gradually influenced the whole America and other countries and places, therefore, its name changed into ISTA in 1980s. Nowadays, it has developed more than 800 members, from manufacturing, to logistics, labs and so on. Many companies of the TOP 500, such as Microsoft, P&G, UPS, FedEx, HP and GE become their members. Its authority was founded by ISTA series test procedures, Transit Tested mark, CPLP certificates and wide exchange on technology and information. In 2002 CPRTC joined ISTA and became its most vivid member in China. Through close contact ISTA realized the leading position of CPRTC in the domain of China’s transport packaging and hoped CPRTC helped it develop in China. Therefore, the both parties signed the Cooperation Agreement in US 2006. It appointed CPRTC to be the solo service provider to deal with its business in China, and to serve its members in China. It also appointed Mr. Li Hua, Director of CPRTC, director of ISTA, Chairman of ISTA China. On October 2006, CPRTC, ISTA and Transportation Committee of China Packaging Federation held Annual Forum of International Organizations of Transport Packaging Technology. Since the forum made great success, the cooperation between ISTA and CPRTC was enhanced. |
