| Pira International was established in 1937. It is a leading consultancy and testing business with major conference and publishing activities. It offers companies independent expertise and services that cover both established and cutting edge technologies. In 2004 Pira joined Ciba Specialty Chemicals as a part of its Expert Services business unit. It’s one of founders of IAPRI and one of directors of ISTA. Its major business in packaging technology includes packaging designs of munitions, test and performance evaluation of transport packages, test of packaging materials quality, monitor and control of transport environment, test and attestation of packages of hazardous goods, better packages; moreover, it also took part in preparing BS and ISO standards, etc. In 2006 CPRTC and Pira International signed the Cooperation Agreement, which marks their mutual reorganization. Furthermore, they will cooperate in packaging products test, technology consultation, market survey, technical training, seminar organization and so forth. |
